Chimane Conference Center Construction

The Chimane church has been functioning for a number of years, but due to its growth, they have a good problem. There is no convenient place for the Chimane to meet out of the weather without crowding into someone’s home. And those houses can only hold so many people at any one time. What they have needed for some time is a building that can provide a dry and shaded location for meetings.

Having gatherings usually consists of sitting on some sort of log or on the ground. Most of the films recorded in Chimane must be shown in the evening. Putting the screen up between two trees with the lights it takes to run the system draws lots of bugs and other flying animals.

What is needed is a building with a roof, screens for walls and a raised floor to protect from floods.

How You’ll Be Helping

Your gift will allow for the construction of a conference center for the Chimane church. The Conference Center will provide a central location where the Chimane church can meet for Bible study and conferences. There they will be able to watch the videos and other materials that have been translated into their language. It will also provide a place where they can reach out to the surrounding communities and invite people to gather to hear and see God’s Word in their own language.
