Make an informed choice. Most missionaries serve through sending organizations. How can you and your church choose the one that’s right for you? Here are just some of the reasons you might choose New Tribes Mission.
Jesus commanded His followers to “make disciples of all nations” – literally, of every people group (Matthew 28:19). We know from the book of Acts that Paul and many in the early church out this into practice by establishing mature churches among previously unreached people. The Apostle Paul wrote that he desired to take the gospel where it had not gone (Romans 15:20). While the world has changed a lot since then, the Word of God never changes, and thousands of people groups still have no functioning church. If you are convinced that planting churches among unreached people groups should still be a priority of God’s people, New Tribes Mission is a good choice for you. That’s our focus.
“And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation.” Romans 15:20
Since you’re going to be investing your life in bringing tribal churches to maturity, and your church will be pouring in prayer and resources, you want to be certain you are part of an effective ministry.
In New Tribes Mission, you’ll be part of a team that is establishing churches guided by proven methodologies and a well-thought-out model of what a maturing church should look like. Church planters work in the context of the people group’s culture and language, so the message of God’s Word is clearly understood. The Bible is carefully translated so it speaks to the people. And God’s Word is presented through foundational Bible teaching, which lays out God’s story as God Himself unfolded it, step by step.
We believe God has guided us in developing these tools and methods, and it is by His grace that New Tribes Mission has been highly effective in establishing churches that grow in grace and faith, and that join in reaching tribes and transforming lives.

New Tribes Mission exists to serve the local church. We’re as committed to working as part of the Body of Christ, as we are to the task of completing the Body of Christ.
The local churches that send: We are committed to an ongoing partnership to serve and facilitate pastors and members as they fulfill their role in their God-given mandate to make disciples of all nations. We do missions are part of the church, and expect all our members to have a sending church, and to maintain a healthy relationship with that church.
The local churches where we serve: We desire to come alongside as servants, helpers and partners to assist the church to find and fulfill its God-given role.
The local churches God plants through our ministry together: We believe God desires to entrust local churches to local believers in order to pursue their mission in the world, so that’s our intent as well. We seek to help them grow in interdependence and unity with the rest of the Body of Christ.
“For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’ How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?” Romans 10:13-15
