The course at NTM's Missionary Training Center takes two years to give you the thorough, specialized training you need in order to be properly equipped for the role God has for you in planting tribal churches.
Stop and think for a moment: If you were given the opportunity today to plant a church in an unreached tribe, do you know where to start? Or what comes next?
It takes time to learn about the complex concepts involved in tribal church planting. These include:
- Understanding yourself as a person influenced by your culture
- Seeing how cultures develop and how they differ
- Learning to communicate effectively cross-culturally
- Discipling and training tribal people
- Learning how to learn and use and eventually write an unwritten tribal language.
We're also vitally concerned about your walk with God, because we know how important it is to hold fast to Him. It is vital that in an isolated, pressure-cooker environment, you are able to sustain and even thrive in your relationship with Him.
We haven't truly equipped you for ministry if we've given you all the technical tools and skills, but neglected to equip you spiritually for the environment you're heading into.
