A Cessna 206 aircraft was registered in Bolivia by NTM in 2001 with no taxes under rules that applied at that time. The plane transports people and supplies to remote locations for NTM missionaries and for indigenous missionaries sponsored by two churches in Cochabamba, Bolivia. One such location, now served by a flight of a little more than an hour, is otherwise accessible only by five days to a week of travel by road and river.

Under new laws, the plane must be relicensed at a cost of $46,350. There is no assurance that NTM can retain ownership indefinitely without completing this process promptly.
