God shows Himself on trip to town

God is working in the lives of Northern Tepehuan believers in Mexico.

Missionary Matt Arnold needed knee surgery recently at a near-by hospital and decided to load his van with Northern Tepehuans who also needed medical attention. God used the believers to greatly encourage Matt before and after his surgery.

One of the passengers, Manuela, believed that her daughter's fainting spells were caused by a curse. She wanted to turn to a shaman for help. Cleotilde, one of the Northern Tepehuan believers, prayed for Felipa and encouraged Manuela to turn to the Lord and trust Him for the tests that Felipa needed.

They received tangible evidence that God provides for His own when they found a great price on potatoes in the area and everyone was able to buy some to take back to their families.

On the way home the believers began singing every song they could remember from the Tepehuan song book. This was a great help to Matt's wife, Starr, as she was driving over some really rough roads and was extremely tired.

The final evidence of God's work in the lives of the believers was when they drove by another Northern Tepehuan village and began to talk about how that community needs the Gospel also.

Missionaries Kevin and Wendy Case wrote concerning the growth of the Northern Tepehuan people, "We are grateful for your prayers for the Tepehuan people and their growth in the Lord. Our hearts are filled with joy as we see believers leave their comfort zone and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit to speak truth in many scenarios and situations. God is at work building His church among the Tepehuan people."

Praise God with us for the evidence of spiritual growth among the Northern Tepehuan believers. Pray for Matt and Star and Kevin and Wendy Case as they minister among the people.
