Mt. Tavurur in Papua New Guinea, near Rabaul, erupted on Friday, August 29th local time. We have been monitoring that situation closely. NTM does not have any members who are in danger from this eruption, but we ask for prayer for the local citizens who are affected. Local news sources are saying that there are no reports of injuries, but the ash will be a problem for some. We are continuing to monitor the area.
